Established in October 2018, the Institute of Low-Dimensional Materials Genome Initiative is a research institution in College of Chemistry and Environmental Engineering, Shenzhen University. Its research topics are focused on high throughput design/calculation/optimization/filtration of advanced low-dimensional materials, high throughput in situ analysis and characterization of materials based on advanced light source, functionalization and industrialization of high performance fibers, advanced low-dimensional energy storage materials and the generalization and industrialization of the scientific achievements. The long-term goal of the institute is “to change the production and lifestyle of human beings and to deepen the understanding of the world” as well as cultivate a word-class research team for low-dimensional materials.
