Prof. Zhang Peng graduated from Tianjin University in 2009 (Bachelor of Engineering) and 2012 (Master of Engineering) respectively. His supervisor was Prof. Liu Wenguang. His research field was the application of polymer nanoparticles in gene therapy. In 2018, he graduated from University of Washington with a doctor’s degree, with Prof. Shaoyi Jiang as his supervisor. His research field was the bio-medical applications of zwitterionic polymers. Dr. Zhang Peng is now a postdoctoral researcher of Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), with Prof. Robert Langer, a fellow of three American academies as his supervisor. His research field is mRNA gene therapy. He is the author of 40 SCI papers; and the first author of 12 papers published on Science Translational Medicine, PNAS, Angewandte Chemie International Edition and other famous international journals. His papers have over 2500 citations and a H factor of 20.
