Bio:

    Dr. Hao Jia currently holds the position of associate professor in the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2014, he joined Prof. Martin Winter’s research group in University of Münster to pursue his doctoral degree and graduated with honor “magna cum laude” in 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he worked as a Post Doctorate Research Assistant under Chief Scientist Dr. Wu Xu’s supervision in Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. His research interests lie in the regulation and characterization of solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) in lithium-ion and lithium metal batteries. To date, he has published 20 first-authored (co-first author included) papers in prestigious journals such as Nat. Energy, Nat. Nanotechnol., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., ACS Energy Letters, Trends in Chemistry, etc. He also contributed one chapter to the book “Encyclopedia of Energy Storage”. He was awarded “Outstanding Performance Award” and “Path to Excellence Award” by Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
