Chemical Experiment Teaching Center wasfoundedin 2006,andwas identified asThe GuangdongEducation &Demonstration CenterofChemical Experiment(EDCCE) in 2012. Ithassixlaboratories, including the“Basic Chemistry Lab”,“TeahchingLaboratory of Chemistry”,“TeahchingLaboratory of Food Science and Engineering”,“TeahchingLaboratory of Environmental Engineering”,“TeahchingLaboratory of New Energy Science and Engineering”and“Innovation Laboratory”. The EDCCE is not onlyresponsible forthe experimentaleducationfor undergraduate students from Chemistryand EnvironmentalEngineering College, butthe basic chemical experimenteducationfor 18 undergraduate majors from other six colleges, such as Institute for Advanced Study, College of Life Sciences and Oceanography.EDCCEhas81 laboratories with more than 1800 instruments worthy of95 million CNY,andan experimental area of more than 4500m². The center won the Teaching Achievement Award in 2019 by the theme of constructing a new teaching paradigm of environmental engineering experiment by virtual and real means, the paradigm of which was instructed by the National Virtual Simulation “Golden Class”.
