In 2017, the Guangdong Engineering Technology Research CenterofFlexible Wearable Energy andDevicesfocusingon the flexible wearable energy and devices was approved and founded by the Guangdong Science and Technology Department. The center has successfully developed new wearable energy devices including flexible and wearable silver-zinc battery, and has also made significant achievements in theory innovation of flexible and stretchable photoelectric detector, flexible and stretchable graphene/Nano fiber strain sensor, flexible and stretchable electrochromic device, and flexible and stretchable graphene temperature sensor, etc.Up to 85 scientific research projects have beencarried out in the center, with total project funds of43.61 million CNY. Among them, 25 projects with 12.18 million CNY were funded by the national departments, while 11 projects with 1.48 million CNY and 49 funding with 29.95 million CNY were funded by the provincial or ministerial departments and the municipal departments, respectively. In addition, the center also emphasizes on the cooperation with the companies and enterprises with 18 Industry-Academia-Research projects funded with 2.17 million CNY.

Some research findings regarding flexible and wearable devices published by the center have been frequently highlighted as Cover Report by the international peer-reviewed journals.
