报告人简介:

朱挺博士本科(2007)和硕士(2010)毕业于四川大学,博士毕业于新加坡南洋理工大学(2014),之后前往新加坡国立大学从事了三年的博士后研究,并于2017年回国加入中南大学任职特聘教授;入选2017年度湖南省百人计划和2018年度湖湘高层次人才聚集工程创新人才项目;长期从事纳米功能材料的创新设计和开发,主要应用于能源存储和转化等领域,例如锂/钠离子电池、超级电容器、光催化和电催化等,迄今已在包括Adv.Energy Mater., Nano Energy, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Mater.Chem. A, ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces等期刊发表论文40余篇,论文总引用超过3000(H因子为21),其中有10篇入选ESI高被引论文,单篇一作最高引用255次,所取得的成果受到了同行的广泛关注,同时,长期担任Adv.Mater., J. Mater. Chem. A, New J. Chem.等期刊审稿人。

讲座摘要:

Inorder to meet the increasing demands of energy consumption in the next decades(eg. more electric vehicles to realize a clean urbanization), materialscientists worldwide are working on efficient, low-cost and low-toxic materialsfor energy harvesting, conversion and storage from clean energy sources.Suitable functional materials should be explored and utilized for relevantenergy storage and conversion devices to address those concerns. However, thecurrent materials are usually composed of single constituent or in hybrids ofbinary inorganic components but with low surface areas. The poorelectroactivity with less active sites may further deteriorate theelectrochemical performances of the electrodes. Our strategy is to developlow-cost transition metal oxide/sulfide based materials to enhance theelectroactivity as well as the electrochemical active surface area (EASA),because the hybridization of two or more components affords the opportunity toengineer the electronic and/or surface structures. In addition, optimization ofsurface structures (such as fabrication of hollow or core-shell hierarchicalstructures) of nanostructures may bring about extra active sites, probablyfurther prompting the electrochemical performances.
